BAID X ("we", "us") operates a digital workforce platform for Ghana. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it when you use our website and apps.

Depending on your role, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email, phone, password (hashed)
• BAID ID and profile information (skills, company, location)
• Identity documents — e.g. Ghana Card images/numbers for verification
• Business registration docs (RGD, TIN, licenses)
• Listings, messages, applications, and support requests
• Payment data — deposit proofs, wallet/ledger records, payout accounts (not full bank secrets beyond what you submit)
• Device/usage data needed to secure and improve the service

We use personal data to:

• Create and secure your account
• Verify identity and run trust / fraud checks
• Power marketplace, messaging, and payment features
• Send service notifications (email, SMS, push, in-app)
• Comply with law and resolve disputes

We share data with other members only as needed for the marketplace (e.g. public profile fields, job applications). We use processors such as hosting, database (Supabase), email, SMS, and push providers under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, dispute, and security purposes. You may request account closure subject to outstanding obligations.

We use industry-standard controls (encryption in transit, access controls, role-based admin tools). No system is perfectly secure — protect your password and BAID ID.

You can update profile data in your dashboard, manage notification preferences where available, and contact us to request access or correction of personal data we hold, subject to legal limits.

BAID X is for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
